The Subjective Perception of Social Workers concerning ¡®Food-Right¡¯

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to grasp subjective perception type of social worker concerning ¡®food-right¡¯ and establish the method to reconsider food-right of client in special welfare field. Q sort was performed for 38 social workers with strictly chosen 30 statements. Through Q methodology, the perception types and characteristics of social workers concerning ¡®food-right¡¯ were classified into 4 kinds as below. First, the person, who emphasizes practical system, thinks that food-right is a basic right and it shall be secured by country, focusing on the execution of the system with actual effect to secure food-right as a right. Second, the person, who emphasizes optional security, thinks that food-right shall be secured from the viewpoint of supplement and surplus, asserting that the subject of food-right shall be restricted to under-privileged class. Third, the person, who emphasizes ideological right, thinks that food-right shall be defined as a basic right in constitution or law, asserting that food-right shall be defined as a right. Fourth, the person, who emphasizes universal security, thinks that food-right is universal for all people and it shall be secured for a long time, asserting that security of food-right shall be universally applied to all people. On the basis of study result, the important points are as follows. First, the study found the knowledge system, the perception frame of social worker concerning food-right, which has been understood vaguely, experimentally. Second, the study suggested the practical direction of social worker for securing food-right of client.
